Martina Galdes

Martina is a speech-language pathologist. She joined ASLP committee in 2016. She is currently working with children in a district clinic and with geriatrics in long-term residential hospital. Giving a service to others has always been her passion. She is currently a member of Aphasia special division within the Speech Language Department. Moreover, she is currently reading for a Master of Science degree in Audiology at the University of Malta. Martina attends and participates in various seminars, workshops and conferences sharing her professional background and experience. Together with Dr Daniela Gatt, from the University of Malta, she has recently published an article in the Malta Journal of Health Sciences on the speech and language skills of Maltese children with bilateral cochlear implants. During her final academic year at University of Malta, in 2014, Martina was awarded Dean’s Award in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement. She is very enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working professional.
