12th November 2015 – Psychiatrist Role and Intervention in ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders

Speaker: Dr Nigel Camilleri

Dr Nigel Camilleri is a Consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, who completed his medical training at the University of Malta in 2003. In 2008 he moved over to Newcastle, UK and trained in the Northern Deanery. He was also an Associate Clinical Researcher at Newcastle University, and worked with the Pediatric Bipolar Disorder Team on research projects in this field. Over the years Dr Camilleri developed a special interest in working with ‘hard to reach’ Young People suffering from multiple complex mental health disorders.

Dr Camilleri present a talk which was attended by parents, teachers, LSAs medical professionals and various allied health professionals. The talk addressed the Psychiatrist’s role in the intervention and treatment of children and adolescents with Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
