SLT Day 2015 – Acquired Neurological Disorders

This year focus was on “Acquired Neurological Disorders”. Acquired neurological communication disorders resulting from conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s Chorea, head and neck cancer, dementia and Multiple Sclerosis can have different effects on the individual suffering from the condition and his close family. Different professionals, including a Speech Language Pathologist, can help the client and family to reduce its effects on communication.
